York Diocesan Board of Education: Supporting Christian Education

We aim to provide professional advice and assistance to support schools, colleges, universities and parishes in their Christian mission to children and young people through education.

The Diocese of York stretches across 8 local authorities between the River Tees and the Humber. We serve 126 Church of England schools, one academy and a growing number of schools affiliated to the diocese.

The Chair of the Board is the Rt Revd Richard Frith, Bishop of Hull, and the Director of Education is Canon Dr Ann Lees.
