Child Protection Training

We would recommend that you look at the on-line training offered by your local "Safeguarding Children Board". We currently have a training package for parishes by request, but there are now ample resources on line which can be done by individuals or as a group in discussion together huddled around a computer.

We encourage ALL volunteers to do at least the “Basic Awareness” training offered on-line by Safeguarding Children Boards. Open the related document below for more information and links to your Local Authority e- training pages. However, some are easier to access than others and if you have difficulty the City of York and North Yorkshire programme is very easy to access.

There are also some more specific church related guidelines available from The Churches Child Protection Advisory Service (CCPAS) http://www.ccpas.co.uk/
