Equipping God's People
Training and Encouragement for Shared Ministry

Equipping God’s People is a range of courses intended to encourage and enable lay people to develop their gifts and skills and to take a more full role in the ministry of the local parish, benefice or deanery.
Courses can be arranged in your locality by arrangment with a member of the NMD team.

Learning To Listen
St John's Filey. Tuesday evenings 7.00 - 9.30 January 29th, February 12th, 19th, 26th 2008. For bookings contact: The Revds Phil White or Mary Williams (Vicar of Filey), or Mae Tang.

Learning To Lead in Public Worship
St Michael's Cherry Burton. Thursday evenings 7.00 - 9.30 February 14th, 21st, 28th, and March 6th 2008. For bookings contact The Revds Angela Bailey (Rural Dean of Beverley) or Phil White.

The full family of courses are as follows

Pastoral Care:
in partnership with the Acorn Christian Foundation.
'Learning to Listen', 'Listening in Pastoral Care- Time to Listen', 'Called to Listen', and 'Listening and Prayer Ministry' are the courses in this group.
'Just Listen' is an Acorn dvd/video which introduces 'active reflective listening', and is useful prior to or in preparation for Learning To Listen. It can be obtained from their website.

Learning To Be a Spiritual Companion

Learning To Share Our Faith:
a course to give confidence in sharing faith sensitively in partnership with Wilson Carlile College
