The Eckersleys make it to John O'Groats!

The Revd Nancy and John Eckersley have finished their epic walk from Land's End to John O'Groats to raise money for Christian Aid! They reached John O'Groats on 26th August, having set out from Land's End on 1st April, and having walked 1280 miles. They arrived at 1 pm and were greeted by a party of people from Heslington, Bradford and John o'Groats.

They've already hit their target of £10,000 for water supplies and farming improvements in Sierra Leone, which will be match funded 3:1 by the European Commission, meaning that £45,000 will be given to the people of Sierra Leone. As soon as we hear what their final total is, we'll let you know. You can still give money, or read more about their journey here.
