Two Sides To Every Story at St Cuthbert’s, Marlborough Avenue, Hull

St Cuthbert’s Church, Marlborough Avenue, Hull, are inviting people to send them their artwork to be part of two exhibitions at Easter.

“Two Sides to Every Story” consists of two exhibitions. The first, from 29th March to 3rd April will look at the themes of pain, sadness and death, and the second, from 4th April to 10th April will look at hope, resurrection and life.

Exhibition organiser Margaret Turner said, “We want to hear from any artists in Hull who would like to show their art at either of these exhibitions. “Two Sides to Every Story” will help us explore the heart of human life - the pain and suffering, and hope and joy that we all experience throughout our lives. These themes have especial relevance to Christians at Easter, when we remember Jesus’ death and resurrection, but the artworks certainly don’t have to be Christian in theme. We hope that people will visit the exhibition to consider how these universal themes affect their own life.”

St Cuthbert’s are looking for submissions of original work in all forms of visual art: photographs, paintings and three-dimensional art, such as pottery, sculpture or jewellery. For more information contact Margaret Turner on 01482 446041 or art@mmej.karoo.co.uk.
