Common Tenure Event - Bridlington

By 2011 many clergy in the Church of England will hold their Ecclesiastical Office under a new form of tenure. Common Tenure is part of a framework of terms of service that brings security, clarity, and the opportunity for people to work together to encourage and support the Clergy's ministry.

To make sure you're up to date with these changes, there will be three events across the Diocese, let by the Rt Revd Richard Frith, Peter Warry and Sarah Smith, who is Senior Officer at the Ministry Division at church House, Westminster. These events will provice an overview of Common Tenure and what it will mean in practice. There will be an opportunity to ask questions and to hear about the timetable for implementation in the Diocese.

These events will be on:

  • Tuesday 16th March - 1.30pm - 3.30pm - Christ Church, Stockton Lane, York YO31 1JG
  • Tuesday 16th March - 7.00pm - 9.00pm - Christ Church, Bridlington Quay, YO15 2AP
  • Wednesday 17th March - 11.00am - 1.00pm - St Barnabas Church, St Barnabas Road, Linthorpe, Middlesbrough TS5 6JR
