Resources: Caring for your church building: Introduction

Introducing the DAC

The role of the Diocesan Advisory Committee for the Care of Churches (DAC) is to offer formal advice to the Chancellor of the Diocese on all petitions proposing alterations, repairs and additions to church buildings, their contents, their churchyards and curtilege structures, other than those works specifically excluded from requiring a faculty.

You can download a list of the current year's DAC meeting dates using the link at the bottom of this page.

For information on the Diocesan Registry, please see their web site at www.denisontill.com/business/ecclesiastical. You can download a leaflet (Acrobat PDF) introducing the Registry by clicking here.

Having explored the DAC web pages should you require faculty forms, or further information and advice please do not hesitate to contact the Secretary (Phil Thomas 01904 699523; pthomas@yorkdiocese.org) or the Administrator (James Jago 01904 699522; james.jago@yorkdiocese.org)
